Creating SUSHAASAN – A platform to get better governance from whichever party is in power

Basic driving force for Sushasan
With the above trigger, I have decided to go the whole hog to raise SUSHASAN. Could be my first steps on a journey of a thousand miles.

Placing below a video of my thoughts on it. Just the first thoughts, not final.

Answer this for yourself- ‘What percentage of people of India, you think, approve of the present governance system (not political ideologies or economic policies, but governance)?. I think no one will put this figure at more than 10%.Or is it even lesser than this.

If so, obviously there is a real demand for this. The only question is – HOW to make it happen?

My basic idea is – ‘Focus on governance and administration, not politics. Doesn’t matter who is in chair. The law requires everyone in authority to deliver the basic minimum. So, you CAN get it by legal force and pressure at vulnerable pressure points, applied through innovative techniques.’

Yes, innovation and efficiency of the platform will be the prime strength of SUSHASAN. Till I put together its website, this blog could be the rallying point.

What will Sushaasan, essentially, be

It MUST make it possible for the masses across India, to take up governance/administrative issues concerning them with whoever can solve them. Emphasis must be to keep it an instrument of action by the aggrieved. An action oriented platform.

So, what do we provide to users? We make it easy for him to take action. We do hand-holding, provide education and advocacy but the participation of the end user in the actual redressal journey steps is a must. In that journey, we provide step-by-step guidance (to the extent possible). We remove as many hassles as possible, which typically force an aggrieved person to either not start only, or to give up halfway. We oil the machinery and kick-start the motivation but primarily it must remain a self-help group, with our massive support.

4. Not free. The user must pay. Also, should be possible for anyone to fund it,, in whatever manner they wish.

5. In our efforts, we use the powerful tools of social media, tools of creativity & innovation and modern PR techniques.

6. What an I trying to achieve? Am trying to appeal to those who want to do something for the country but are held back since they presently see active politics as the only force that can achieve it but they are not ready to take that plunge for various reasons. I will show them the fallacy of the belief and prove it that even individuals working in their 9 to 5 jobs or businesses CAN MAKE A SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE. Well, not 100%, but not less than 75 % either. I’ll provide them an option to do so without any need to form groups and/or to spend great amount of time in this. In short, I’ll provide them an option to ACT SMART, NOT HARD and be a true nationalist without joining morchas and hartals.

Am working presently to raise funds. Want it to be big, else it will not take off. Can you help by connecting me to the right people?

Do keep in touch here.

Interesting case, exhibiting the power of what an individual an action mindset can do to help society, irrespective of the character of the political party in power.
A petitioner, Birender Sangwan, has claimed that the government and the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) are being “insensitive and irresponsible” towards the people by not taking any steps to fix the price of the medical device which is allegedly being sold at expensive rates in the country. He found that a medical device, a stent, was actually listed in the National List of Essential Medicines (NLEM) but the government and the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) were being “insensitive and irresponsible” towards the people by not taking any steps to fix the price of the medical device which is allegedly being sold at expensive rates in the country. He sought a direction to the NPPA “to control the rate and decide a particular maximum retail price (MRP) of the coronary stents.” The petition also seeks a direction to the drug controller general of India “for providing prompt availability of the coronary stents at medical stores to enable patients to have a quick access to it.”
He won the case in less than 2 years effort.
As a result, the cost of stents has come down by 75 %, by a government which was forced to pass the directions, under orders of the High Court. The data shows that hospitals made the maximum profit on stents+ , marking up prices by as much as 650% in some cases.
So friends, forget about choosing a right government. They ALL have their own interests uppermost. We can make ALL governments to behave responsibly, if we take the right actions.
Let us join hands in service of the motherland, not the neighbour-hood politician or the corporator.

Some more thoughts. What is SUSHAASAN to be? What must we offer? ( the domain name http://www.sushaasan.in has already been acquired).
